Triple Whammy Blues
(An exercise in eighth-note triplets, an “implied” or underlying pulse in most blues music.) Be sure that you are executing the triplet correctly. The sound is that of one beat being divided into exactly three notes. In most blues, a pair of eighth notes is “swung”; the first note is 2/3 a beat and the last note is 1/3 a beat. This means a triplet will sound very natural, too.
