Clayton Wood Picks

Wood is an incredible material that gives so much tone to guitars, and nobody could blame you for thinking that its tonal properties somehow transfer to guitar plectrums. However, that is simply not the case; most woods are simply a terrible material to make picks out of.

While wooden picks are an interesting novelty or gift, they don't make a practical plectrum. Wood's porous surface is "grippy", creating pick noise and friction with strings. Wood is also softer than most alternatives and will wear over time.
