Timber Tones Abalone Picks

Guitar Pick

Timber Tones is a company in the UK that produces some of the most unique and novel guitar picks in the world. These are always fun to try and make a good gift, but not every novelty guitar pick is going to be actually usable.

These abalone picks perform reasonably well, and look very cool. Although they are fun to play with they are not necessarily preferable to standard delrin picks because they can be a bit "grabby" and impart a bright or tinny sound to the guitar tone.

Our Take:
✓ Pros
    ✗ Cons

      Material: Abalone Shell (Natural)

Abalone is made from seashell. Although it's hard, it's also brittle and chips easily. Picks made from abalone look *incredible* but can be a bit grabby on the surface of the string and the tone can also lean towards harsh / bright.
