String Winder Drill Adapter

drill-adapter-2.jpg

The String Winder Adapter for Drill is an essential widget if you have an electric screwdriver or impact driver handy and you'd like to be able to use it to wind your strings.

How Does It Work?

Attach the adapter to your impact driver instead of a bit. Fit it around your tuning machine knob. Remember that the counter-clockwise direction is to tighten and clockwise is to loosen.

Important Warning

Warning: Powered drivers have substantial torque, which means that you may be surprised just how fast an impact driver will wind your machine heads. Tap gently on the button and go slowly.

The power of an impact driver can easily overtighten strings or damage tuning machines if you're not careful. Use light pressure and short bursts.

Who Is This For?

If you already own an electric screwdriver or impact driver, this inexpensive adapter is a great way to speed up string changes without buying a dedicated electric string winder. However, you need to be comfortable with power tools and exercise caution.
