Dunlop .38mm Picks

DSC06066-nylon-38mm.jpg

This little guy is one of the thinnest picks you can get. It has so much flex to it that it's almost like strumming the guitar with a piece of paper.

The primary benefit of a pick this thin is that it's helpful for beginners to learn how to strum. Since it passes over the strings with almost no resistance, the beginner can more quickly discover what strumming feels like, and transfer this feeling to other pick materials.

✓ Pros
  • effortless strumming
✗ Cons
  • fragile

Material: Nylon (Man-made)

Nylon is easy to overlook in guitar picks. It has some drawbacks as it's softer and more fragile than some other materials. However, Nylon can be mixed / filled with other plastics, improving stiffness and durability.
