Chicken Picks

Chickenpicks are made of a durable thermoset plastic. They're extremely tough and dense.

These live in a niche of picks that are designed to be big and heavy, but for fast playing. Some varieties come with a pointed tip and all of them have a very slick bevel.

Many players swear by them. The thickness and stiffness of the pick allows the player to maximize picking effort onto the string, without it being spent on the pick flex. And there are many videos on YouTube of players demonstrating this type of picking.
