Material: Lignum Vitae (Natural)

Lignum Vitae is an incredibly unusual material. It is unbelievably dense as far as wood goes; pick up a brick-sized piece of lignum vitae wood and it feels heavier than a brick––closer to stone. The wood is also rich in oils and has a smooth surface, making it surprisingly suited for picks. Other than the material being rare and expensive, the only problem is it's just hard to work.
