Quarter-Note Strumming Patterns | Hub Guitar

Quarter-Note Strumming Patterns

These 11 patterns constructed from quarter notes represent the most basic level of rhythm guitar playing.

This exercise has one new pattern per line.

You can use these rhythm patterns in many ways, but the purpose of this exercise is to develop your strumming. The best way to do that is to pick four chords and play them using these patterns.

Not sure what chords to use? Try C, Am, Dm, G or any chords from any song. The chords are not of much significance as this is a strumming exercise.
