Minor 7th Chord Arpeggios (Advanced Arpeggios)
Hi, this is Hub Guitar.
Let's talk about the minor 7th arpeggio.
This pattern resembles the pentatonic scale and its modes. Thats because this arpeggio has 1, b3, 5 and b7. The only thing that's missing that makes it different from the minor pentatonic is the 4th scale degree. So note the similarity between these arpeggio forms and the corresponding pentatonic scales.
Here's the root position F minor7 arpeggio.
And here's the first inversion F minor7 arpeggio.
Here's the second inversion F minor7 arpeggio.
And here's the third inversion F minor7 arpeggio.
So learn these patterns and find a way to put them to use.
Presented below are arpeggios for the minor 7th chord.
Note the similarity between a minor 7th arpeggio and a pentatonic scale. Since there is only a difference of one note (the pentatonic scale has an 11th), each of these shapes closely resembles a pentatonic scale.
